The coming back and the death of Captain Meadows in old house were the reason to make Mrs Meadows glad. She feel happy for herself and for that man-Captain Meadows. It's quite clear in the sentences Mrs Meadows said: "I'm glad he died in that old house. I'm glad he came back" in the ending part story.

Captain Meadows died in the right place which was the first reason why Mrs Meadows glad. It means that tradition of George's family has been protected in a long time unchange. In addition, everyone always want to die in the arms of member family, he too. after many years, he had live away from home, in the last moment, he came back his house and he died in happy time in life.

Mrs Meadows was glad to meet an old friend again after over more fifty years. Maybe, she felt to have some mistake in the past because she was the reason why he left. When he came back which means that he might forgave for her or he has forgot old story in them love story. she was called a special name which was Emily. In a long time, noone called her that. Particularly, he was a ex-man to keep his promise that was he had never married any one but her.

She felt happy for herself. It was the reason to make Mrs Meadows picking flowers. Suddenly, she thought that she have to live her life following a others way. Most of her life in the dark, therefore, the coming back of Mr. Captain made some changeable in her mind. Moreover, she was glad to hear that she has love's someone even though she was an old women. A good detail showed the meaning clearly that she had put on her best silk dress in that day.

In conclusion, I have to emphasize again that Mrs Meadows feel happy because Mr Captain Meadows came back and died in the right place. In addition, she was glad for herself and for some changes in her mind and one thing was very important that she want to change her life one again. When she love the life and have emotion to be continued the life more that becomes the reason to make she glad.
